Russia sports and territory

Sports

Many sports are practiced in Russia, among them basketball, ice hockey, bandy, soccer, rugby, but the most relevant is soccer.

Proof of this are two soccer teams called Spartak Moscow, and Zenit, who played the Europa League this year.

Spartak made it to the round of 16 but because of the war between Russia and Ukraine, and Spartak was expelled from the competition.

If Zenit had won against Real Betis, they would have advanced to the round of 16.

If the other sports were more watched, they would have more revenue.

If Russia Had not attacked Ukraine, this would not have happened.

Territory

Russia is the largest country in the world with a territory of more than 17 million square kilometers. Russia is located in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia, has borders with 16 states and its border line is the longest in the world with 60 thousand kilometers of extension.

Russia is heavily forested, accounting for a quarter of all the world's forests.

The continuous forest area extends from the western borders of the country to the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Russia borders 12 seas, also having tens of thousands of rivers and about 2 million lakes, among which the largest lake in the world, Lake Caspian Sea, and the deepest freshwater lake, Lake Baikal, stand out.

The Russian Federation is made up of 21 republics, 6 territories, 48 regions, in which the most important federal cities are Moscow, which is also the capital, and St. Petersburg.

Russia is currently at war with Ukraine over territories, but also because Ukraine wanted to join NATO.

If Ukraine had not tried to join to join NATO, the war would probably not have happened

And if Ukraine has joined NATO, Russia would have 4 of 5 countries bordering Europe that are part of NATO

If you go to Russia, you would visit the natural zones
